Friday, November 13th, 2009

As a ping pong player, you want your performance to be at the optimum level. You have to remember that table tennis isn’t just about having fast reflexes and knowing how to strategize. Having the right paddle will also help you optimize your performance when playing the game and can indeed contribute to your victory.

Having the right kind of ping pong paddle means that you will be able to control the ball and also provide more power and spin to your shots. This is why you need to know that choosing the right weight for your paddle is very important.

Many beginners in the ping pong world often ask how much weight they should have in their ping pong paddles. Honestly, a lot of ping pong instructors are getting tired of answering this simple question.

The weight of the paddle that you should have must be equal to your strength as well as your style in playing ping pong. You need to remember that different tactics will need different ping pong paddles.

And, one of the most important things that you should look for in a ping pong paddle is the weight. The weight should be perfect for you in order to accurately hit the ball and give it enough power.

Most ping pong paddles will weight between 70 to 100 grams with no rubber. Like choosing a tennis racket, baseball bat, and golf clubs, it is important that you keep the weight in mind in order to get the perfect ping pong paddle.

This means that the perfect weight for a paddle will depend on you and your playing style as well as your strength. If you want the fastest paddle acceleration, you will want to go for ping pong paddles that are below 77 grams. The lightness of the paddle will provide you with fast acceleration when you swing it and will also provide you good spins.

Paddles that are between 77 to 89 grams will be able to provide you with balance as well as extra power. For power players, this paddle is perfect as it will give you good ball acceleration and also good spins.

Heavy paddles that weight over 90 grams is perfect for people who wants stability and good acceleration. This will also give you higher speed to spin ratio when you give the ball topspin to attack your opponent.

These are the different ping pong paddle weights that you should know about. Choosing the perfect paddle will mean that you need to know what weight of the paddle is best suited for your strength and playing style.

Golf Clubs: How Should I Select Them?

Saturday, November 7th, 2009

If you’re looking to improve your handicap, look no further than a good set of golf clubs. An excellent set of clubs, personalized to your needs, will take strokes off of your game faster than you could ever imagine. The trouble is, many of you have probably noticed that many new and “breakthrough” products have come onto the market lately to cash in on the idea that people want to constantly improve their golf games. While many of these products may be worthwhile, many are simply snake oil products that are designed to get you excited about a set of golf clubs that really isn’t any more revolutionary than the set next to it that is half the price. Shop carefully for your clubs.

Before you start going out buying new golf club sets and other products, ensure that you’re playing at a level of play that would get you some benefit out of the new club. If you lack in the basic concepts of a golf swing, perhaps your money should be better spent taking golf lessons instead of in the pro shop drooling over the latest and greatest gadgets. Also ensure that when you’re exercising, exercise muscles that will strengthen your game and improve your swing.

So, what golf clubs are going to be necessary for you to actually purchase? Let’s keep it simple: you’re going to need a driver, a 3 wood, a 5 wood, and a god set of irons including a putter. In the rules of golf you’re not supposed to have more than 14 clubs in your golf bag, however when you’re first starting out feel free to have as many clubs as you want and simply experiment with what works for you. Again, this comes down the idea of not bogging yourself down with specifics when you should be simply trying to improve your golf game one step at a time.

For example: One of your best golf clubs is going to be the venerable 3 wood. This club is going to be the basis for most of the rest of your golf bag, so choose this wisely. This does not mean that you should go out and simply buy the first club you see, or conversely, the most expensive club you see. Your 3 wood should be chosen only after you spend time trying out different types of woods that fit your needs. Then, and only then, can you really feel confident about buying that particular club. While I use the example of a 3 wood, you should use this guide to help you select any club in your bag, including your putter. Don’t forget about just how important your putter is in your game.

Thank you for taking the time to read this article about golf clubs.

What Type Of Ping Golf Clubs Should I Buy?

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

I know they have a color code red, black, blue etc. But which one is right for me? What are the most recent versions? I am 6 1 and 145 pounds. I am an intermediate golfer. I purchased a crappy set of golf clubs and couldn’t hit the ball for sh(*. Literally 50 avg. from the whites. Then I try my cousins ping driver and I BLAST IT LIKE CRAZY, I was so pumped. I hit at least 275.
So any advice on ping or other brands that are great not good. would be appreciated.
Cheers!
